A Letter To The Ladies

Dear Ladies,

I am sure you know that smoking will increase the chances of getting breast cancer and cervix cancer. So, why are you smoking? These are deadly disease that will not just ruin your life but also affect your loved ones. Do you want to leave them earlier and let them struggle every day missing you and regret about how they cannot do anything to help you?

Well, it is time to make a statement and that is “no smoking”. Ladies, apart from cancers, smoking is also harmful especially when you are pregnant. You can either cause birth complications or even cause the baby’s death. Is this what you want? To see your baby struggle for life and die in your womb.

Yes, it is difficult to let go of smoking but you have to for yourself and your family and friends. They care for you so you should care for yourself as well. There is no reason why you should put yourself at the edge of death. If you are pregnant, you should think about your responsibility for bringing the baby to life.

Now, change your lifestyle by saying NO to cigarettes. You can make a difference and only you can change your life. No one else can do it for you unless you have the will to do it yourself. Difficult it may be, but it is worthy.

Regards,

People who care about you.

Can Electronic Cigarettes Help You Quit Smoking?

by Donnie Taberthino

If you are trying to quit smoking can electronic cigarettes help?

Asked recently to write about electronic cigarettes, I have to confess that I had never heard of such a thing. Some internet research later and I discovered that electronic cigarettes are very much a quickly growing concern. A Google search revealed there is no smoke without fire as almost six million results just for the phrase “electronic cigarette” were returned.

The electronic cigarette has been in existence for almost three years and is a clever device aimed at providing smokers with a healthier option. Apparently also useful in helping to reduce and indeed quit smoking altogether.

Now in a fourth generation, electronic cigarettes have become much more user friendly than earlier versions which perhaps were a little too large to encourage a mass market appeal. The “mini” is the most realistic e cigarette to date with its length of 100mm being the same as a conventional cigarette.

An electronic cigarette contains a taste of tobacco but none of the harmful substances found in normal cigarettes allowing smokers cravings to be satisfied without inhaling the many dangerous toxins. Is it all smoke and mirrors? Or can this item really be the saviour it wants to be?

A renewable nicotine chamber allows the user to choose between different strengths of nicotine cartridge, so if desired they can incrementaly reduce the amount of nicotine they are absorbing. A smoke like vapour and glowing end when drawn add an extra dose of authenticity to the smoking experience. The battery and internal atomiser helping to produce this effect.

At a time when money is tighter than ever, distributors of electronic cigerattes have estimated that a huge eighty per cent saving can be made compared to smoking normal cigarettes as a typical nicotine cartridge lasts as long as fifteen to twenty normal cigarettes.

The banning of smoking in public has already helped some smokers to quit but for many the thought of having to brave freezing cold temperatures and rain to have a quick cigarette is a pain but still a compulsion. The electronic cigarette contains no known harmful toxins or substances enabling the smoker to remain warm and dry.

None smokers also will benefit, as their worries about passive smoking are rendered null and void by the electronic cigarette. A much more sociable environment then!

Reflecting upon the electronic cigarette it is difficult to imagine them not being a much healthier alternative to their very dangerous real cigarette cousins. If they can genuinely be smoked safely and even help people to quit altogether, then the quicker they catch on the better.
