NLP Hypnosis: Using Hypnosis to Program the mind for success.

by Joel Chue

Many of us have always view success is just for the wealthy. We always read about the “things” that the successful people have in common. But success is actually not a monopoly of the rich and famous. In fact, the root of our success lies closer than we think. Our Mind is the most powerful and most useful tool that will shape our success journey. If we can tune our mind properly for success, there is limitless level of success that we can achieve. By using hypnosis to program our mind properly, we are already one-step closer towards success.

Our surroundings always affect us. But when we put things into perspective, we will realize that there is nothing that is Good or bad in this world. What is good or bad, are just value judgments and our own perceptions. For example, take two different persons with exactly the same circumstances. They can response differently to the same set of circumstances. Person “A” And Person “B” both lost their jobs. Person “A” might be contemplating suicide when he starts to think what he might lose, his house, his dignity etc as a direct result of losing his Job. Person “B” however might be more positive when he thinks that losing his Job will gives him a better opportunity to find better ways to express his creative talents. This is why we say perception define our lives.

We also do not realize that our present circumstance had been shaped by our past. Because of our negative past experiences, we tend to assume that faced with the same circumstances, it will automatically lead to the same results. Our mind become stagnant in processing positive experiences.

Bearing in mind that the past will shape our present perceptions, it naturally follows that our perceptions will shape our actions. And lastly, we also have to agree that our actions will shape our future. With these in mind, we must reshape our misconceptions about our reality if ever we want to be successful at all in our endeavors.

Our perception about our present reality is just one side of the picture. What we perceive about our future is equally as important. We must have clearly defined Goals in our life to aim for. A majority of people today have no idea what they want in life. At most, these people only have a vague idea what they want. Until they have a clear vision of their goals, such ideas will only remain a dream. Therefore, you have to set your goals clearly, if success is to be achievable.

Most of us focus a lot on negative aspects, which must change. To grow as a person, instead of crying foul over bad experiences of the past, we must learn a lesson from it and move forward. As a famous saying goes, “Life is cruel than a teacher. A teacher teaches, and then tests. Life tests, and then teaches.

NLP Hypnosis: Positive Change Hypnosis

by Joel Chue

Although not an exact science, hypnosis has proven successful in the area of positive change in a lot of therapeutic situation. Many have use hypnosis to help a patient remove the negative emotions, which had impaired a patient emotional well-being. Thus, you can also use hypnosis to help you improve the quality of your life. There is no requirement that you have to enlist the aid of a professional hypnotist. In fact, you can learn to self-hypnosis yourself through reading books and watching DVDs tutorials that are readily available in the market.

Regardless of whether you are enlisting the aid of a professional hypnotist or doing it on your own, You must be willing to consider all the suggestion made by the experts. Sometimes, we are not aware of the bad habits that we accumulated in our lifetime until someone else pointed it out. After considerations, you will also need to implement those suggestions wholeheartedly in order for your session to be fruitful. If you are successful in doing this, there is only success, which awaits you.

There are many possible usages for hypnotism. Many had actually used hypnotism successfully to lose excess weight and control their diet. Others used it to help them get rid of unhealthy habits like smoking. Beside these, there are also some who used hypnotism to help them recall memories better and be more mentally alert. All this is possible because hypnotism deals directly with the subconscious mind. As such, almost anything is achievable with hypnotism so long as we are motivated and have the will to do it.

Hypnotism is effective because it goes right down to the root cause of the negativity of the individual. By interacting with the mind on a subconscious level, we can actually fathom out the reasons, which causes the bad habits in the first place. What happens during the therapeutic session is that, your negative emotions are reverted to positive emotions. When you become more positive, you will automatically become empowered. With empowerment, comes higher self-esteem. All this will lead to a better spiritual health for an individual in the end.

But remember that the results of hypnosis just cannot be achieved overnight or merely by paying close attention to the assertions as advised in the CD of self hypnosis. Your mind will surely require some time to absorb whatever positive thoughts that are being put into it. Also, if you have made up your mind not to change, then hypnosis will not work. As mentioned earlier as well, hypnosis depends a lot on the person on whom it is being practiced, and if he does not co-operate, little can be achieved.

NLP Hypnosis: Skills You Need To Master

by Joel Chue

There are certain Neuro-linguistic Programming [NLP] skills that you need to master to be competent in this field. Some of them are:

1. Calibration: this talk about the skill to be able to read people’s mind. You must had come across situation where people assume that you were unhappy whereas you are actually fine. In these circumstances, you are said to be miscalibrated by these people. Based on your physical actions, these people had assumed otherwise. To be able to read a person mind regardless of their physical actions is known as calibrating that individual. A superb example of where there are a lot of calibrating going on is the World Poker championship. Here the punters are always calibrating each other to see who is really having a strong hand.

2. Detection of patterns: Patterns are the base of NLP. But there often lies a confusion regarding the exact implication of the word “pattern”. In simple words, pattern means the prediction of events which are to follow, based on what has happened. For instance, a child may observe his dad to eat his breakfast at 8 in the morning. He notices this continuously. The next time, when it strikes 8, he predicts that his dad would come out for breakfast, and he does! That’s it, the child has been able to detect a pattern. Then, this skill of pattern detection must be applied for bettering your performance.

3. Proper Questioning: There is a direct correlation to quality of information that you will receive based on the type of questions you ask. As such, you need to be able to frame a question properly to get the right kind of information that you need for your analysis. Ask precise and specific questions, which are relevant to the subject matter in question. You must be clear in your questioning and not ask a question which is capable of more than one meaning.

4. Reading the other party’s eyes: This refers to ability to read clues into ways person process information based on the movements of their eyes. For example, when you ask a person about their vacation, their eyes will flick upwards trying to recall what they can remember. From this cue, we can sense if a person is having problems accessing those information. By being able to read these cues, you will be able to relate to what the other party is thinking about.

These are some of the main key skills that you will need to polish if you wish to master NLP. However, these essential skill is not exhaustive. There are other skill with which you will require as you become more and more competent with NLP.

A Letter To The Ladies

Dear Ladies,

I am sure you know that smoking will increase the chances of getting breast cancer and cervix cancer. So, why are you smoking? These are deadly disease that will not just ruin your life but also affect your loved ones. Do you want to leave them earlier and let them struggle every day missing you and regret about how they cannot do anything to help you?

Well, it is time to make a statement and that is “no smoking”. Ladies, apart from cancers, smoking is also harmful especially when you are pregnant. You can either cause birth complications or even cause the baby’s death. Is this what you want? To see your baby struggle for life and die in your womb.

Yes, it is difficult to let go of smoking but you have to for yourself and your family and friends. They care for you so you should care for yourself as well. There is no reason why you should put yourself at the edge of death. If you are pregnant, you should think about your responsibility for bringing the baby to life.

Now, change your lifestyle by saying NO to cigarettes. You can make a difference and only you can change your life. No one else can do it for you unless you have the will to do it yourself. Difficult it may be, but it is worthy.

Regards,

People who care about you.

Can Electronic Cigarettes Help You Quit Smoking?

by Donnie Taberthino

If you are trying to quit smoking can electronic cigarettes help?

Recently when I was asked to write about electronic cigarettes, I must confess I didnt even know what they were! It was interesting to do some research and find out that they are hugely popular at the moment. There were millions of results when i searched for electronic cigarettes on Google.

In existence for about three years, the electronic cigarette is a unique device intended to allow smokers to continue smoking but with either none or vastly reduced health concerns. According to many electronic cigarette distributers they are also very helpful for quitting smoking altogether.

Now in a fourth generation, electronic cigarettes have become much more user friendly than earlier versions which perhaps were a little too large to encourage a mass market appeal. The “mini” is the most realistic e cigarette to date with its length of 100mm being the same as a conventional cigarette.

Containing a taste of tobacco and apparently none of the harmful substances and chemicals found in standard cigarettes, they allow smokers to satisfy their cravings without taking in all those toxins. Is this too good to be true or can the electronic cigarette really deliver on its claims?

A renewable nicotine chamber allows the user to choose between different strengths of nicotine cartridge, so if desired they can incrementaly reduce the amount of nicotine they are absorbing. A smoke like vapour and glowing end when drawn add an extra dose of authenticity to the smoking experience. The battery and internal atomiser helping to produce this effect.

At a time when money is tighter than ever, distributors of electronic cigerattes have estimated that a huge eighty per cent saving can be made compared to smoking normal cigarettes as a typical nicotine cartridge lasts as long as fifteen to twenty normal cigarettes.

Appearing to be a much healthier alternative at least on the surface, dig a little deeper and more benefits seem reveal themselves. Smoking legally in public being one. As there are no known harmful substances being emitted from the electronic cigarette it does not fall into the same legal trappings of normal cigarettes. Smokers could remain in their warm office, restaurant or pub and smoke their electronic cigarette.

Social benefits can be found also as non smoking friends can remain present while the electronic cigarette is being smoked by their companions.

Reflecting upon the electronic cigarette it is difficult to imagine them not being a much healthier alternative to their very dangerous real cigarette cousins. If they can genuinely be smoked safely and even help people to quit altogether, then the quicker they catch on the better.

Creative or Stupid Way To Get People To Quit Smoking?

Do you have trouble to quit smoking? Are you pregnant? If you answered yes to the questions and live in UK you might get the chance to earn some gift vouchers and beauty treatments in order to encourage you to quit smoking.

You can read the whole story here, but let us discuss about why this is a very bad idea.

First of all, giving out free stuff for pregnant women who smoke is seen as a way of encouraging non-smoking women to smoke. This is because they want to get the freebies (especially beauty treatments) because they are free.

There is no one who doesn’t like free stuff but when you are giving out free stuff to encourage people to quit smoking, it is all so wrong. Not only it is not going to help eliminate the numbers of pregnant women who smoke but this act might increase more people to smoke.

Of course, we are constantly looking for ways to encourage people to quit smoking but giving out free stuff is not the correct way of approaching people in order to get them quit smoking.

This is sort of a bribery and that is another problem in the society as well.

The best way to approach pregnant women to quit smoking is perhaps to educate them about the health complications that might happen during labour and what would happen to the baby due to cigarettes smoking.

Why Do I Quit Smoking?

I understand that most people would pledge to quit smoking during New Year (the beginning of the year) and then failed to do so. While, I can’t blame them for not being able to resist a smoke, after all these years of smoking the addiction is strong. Some says they can survive without water but not cigarettes. Therefore the only way to make sure you achieve success in quit smoking is to revisit your reason to quit smoking especially when you are on the brink of failing.

The most important is to ask yourself again why you want to quit smoking. The best way to remind yourself is to jot down the reasons and hang it or paste it somewhere you can see it every day. This way you can keep on reminding yourself why it is important for you to quit smoking and how you can achieve it.

It is best if you can write it this way:

I want to quit because…

You can have one reason or many reasons to support your quit smoking spirit. Write it in a piece of paper or if you prefer on a card board big enough for you to see and read.

Then, hang it somewhere you get to read it such as on the refrigerator or in your work room or simply keep a piece of it in your wallet and take it out to read it again and again when you are feeling not capable to endure the nicotine withdrawal and feel like wanted to smoke another cigarette.

At least this is one of the ways for you to acknowledge that you are sincere in quit smoking, you want to successfully quit smoking and quit smoking is all you want to do.

One Last Cigarette? No!

It is very tempting to have a “one last cigarette” when you quit smoking. Do you know that there is no such thing as “one last cigarette”. For instance, if you had your “one last cigarette”, you will be craving for more. Besides, having a “one last cigarette” is not going to help you quit smoking but drag you back into the pit of death.

How do you curb this urge especially if you have a friend or family member who is tempting you to smoke since they are smoking and you are trying to stop?

You need to be strong, you need to be persistent. Have a strong determination will help you to curb the urge of another smoke. Those with weak determination will easily be persuaded into taking another puff and end up failing.

It is not easy to be so determined at something but if you have set your mind and goal to quit smoking, you will be able to do so.

In times like this, it is advisable to do the following:

  • An afternoon at the movies
  • A pedicure and/or a manicure
  • Take a long walk in nature, and bring the dog!
  • Give yourself an hour to soak in a long hot bath
  • Relax with a good book
  • Head to the gym for a workout and a swim
  • Go on a mini shopping spree
  • Take a power nap
  • Splurge on a hot fudge sundae with all the fixings

When you have completed each task, you will feel better and you don’t even remember to smoke (maybe).

Try it and see if it works for you. I am sure some of it will work, if not all!
