Quit Smoking Without Gaining Weight

One way to ensure that you don’t gain too much weight when you are on a quit smoking program is by drinking a lot of plain water. When you drink a lot of water, you feel as though you are full. Besides keeping you from munching on snacks, you are also hydrated and the water will flush out the toxins in your body.

Sometimes, when the urge to eat is so strong that you might want to pick up a cigarette to substitute food. Don’t even think about that. You can eat, but watch what you eat. You can eat less sugary food such as fruits and vegetables in your meals. The best way to counter the hunger is by having small meals frequently. Don’t eat heavy meals at a go which will makes you sleepy and gain more weight.

If you are bored with plain water, opt for fruit juices or green tea. Green tea is high in antioxidant and can helps you raise your metabolism rate so you can lose some fats.
